SPECTRON ICP-MS CONES

Spectron manufactures and stocks over 70 different cones for 14 different ICP-MS models and makes dozens of special designs each year. These parts are made in a variety of materials. Nickel alloy 200 (pure nickel) is the industry standard and comprises the majority of parts sold due to its corrosion resistance and cost effectiveness. Platinum cones are the next most popular choice and are very economic for some applications. The platinum is alloyed with 10% rhodium, which significantly improves the metal's resistance to acids. Spectron also provides prototype parts as well as special configurations or variations of production parts, such as different orifice sizes or geometries, to meet specific customer requirements.

Spectron supplies cones made from aluminum, copper and stainless steel (non-plasma applications) and other materials as requested. We also manufacture hybrid cones such as those with nickel inserts welded into copper bases for improved thermal characteristics as well as combinations of nickel, copper and platinum, depending on the requirement. We are happy to work with customers doing special applications or research, supplying special parts quickly and at very reasonable prices. Spectron also manufactures platinum and Pt/Au long life shield plates.

Spectron cone products use either the OEM's drawings (most products) or carefully adhere to the OEM's designs that have been proven for performance and longevity over many years of testing and customer use.
